Wastewater Winter Quarter Averaging

“Winter Average” charges shall apply to one family residential customers only. The “winter average” will be calculated using the following method:

  • Add the three winter months water consumption to get a total water consumption.
  • Divide the three month usage amount by three to get winter average usage. Such winter average usage shall be limited to a maximum of 25,000 gallons.
  • Using the winter average usage, apply the applicable rates to calculate the “winter average”, which will constitute the customer’s bill for each month until a new average is established (or rates are changed).
