A major focus of the Storm Water Department is on educational services. Teaching people about storm water drainage and the impact of litter and dumping on the health and quality of our water is key to pollution prevention.
The Storm Water Department has an active stenciling program, participates in community educational and clean-up events, makes presentations at schools, and provides a variety of informational materials, including brochures, public service announcements, door hangers, training videos and newsletters.
In addition to outreach efforts, the Support and Educational Services division provides administrative and budgetary support for the department and administers contracted services which supplement department staff.
